Okay, here you go!
Marsi walked in and held the door wide open. Yama appeared in the doorway, and then stepped inside his room.
Corran's room was exactly like him: calm and tranquil, yet dark and mysteriously protective. The walls were painted midnight black, and red, rose scented candles lined the dresser and bookshelves. He had red curtains on his French-carved double doors that led outside to a balcony view that could take your breath away. The red carpet matched perfectly with the cherry-wood king sized bed, which was decorated in red and black, also.
Corran was lying on his bed, obviously reading something about music. (He loved Rock N' Roll) He glanced up at Yama, then did a double-take.
"Yama!" he yelled, and got up off of the bed to hug her.
She ran toward him, embracing him in a warm hug.
She caught the book he had been reading behind his back and said,"I've missed you so much!"
"Same here, Y!" Corran replied, and let go of her finally.
Yama stepped back to inspect Corran's features: black T-shirt, black jeans, long black hair that fell into his eyes, lip piercing, nose piercing, tattoos all over his arms. It was the same old Corran.
"But. . ." he caught Yama's attention again. "What are you doing here?!"
Corran was still smiling widely at her as she looked over her shoulder at Marsi,"You can go now."
"Oh, I'd rather not," Marsi said, annoyance in her voice again.
"Why not?" Yama turned so she could fully see Marsi.
"Maybe the young lady you talked to didn't tell you my last name: Marsi C-e-d-a-r-s!" Marsi stretched the last name into about ten syllables. "That's right, Marsi Cedars!"
Yama turned to Corran again, her mouth wide open,"You're married?!"
Corran looked at her sheepishly,"Well. . .engaged."
"But almost married!" Marsi cut in.
Yama took hold of Corran's arm and led him outside onto the balcony, shutting the French doors behind them.
"What. . .when was. . .why. . .how did you?!" Yama couldn't get a straight sentence out.
"I asked her about two months ago," Corran said, trying to find something to stare at other that the pain on Yama's face.
"But Corran, why?!"
"I. . .thought that. . .well Yama . .I love her,"
"But what was that. . .when I was leaving. . .last time when you. . ."
Yama was recalling the time when she went on a mission to hunt down whoever was destroying the ancient tombs in Egypt. She and Corran had been best friends, and still were, but they thought they might not ever see each other again. At the last moment, when Yama was about to step into one of the pyramids, Corran pulled her close to him and embraced her in a kiss. That kiss had really meant something to her, and she saw his face every time she closed her eyes on that mission.
"You mean the kiss, don't you Yama?"
She barely nodded. He caught the movement.
"Yama," he sighed, pulling her to his side."I love you, too! In both ways, but as a friend more than the other. And when I didn't hear from you, I thought. . .you know, you had died. So after two months of hurting inside, I'd had enough, and decided that this was what you would want. But seeing as how you're acting here, I was totally wrong."
"Corran," Yama whispered, brushing his silky black hair out of his eyes. "I thought that you said you would wait on me!"
"I did but when I tho. . ."
"I couldn't track you down! I couldn't find you! I've been in Japan, trying to find out why. . .w. .why. . ."
Corran hugged her tightly again, and she let out a deep moan.
"Are you okay?" he said, still hanging onto her.
"Mmm. . .mmmf," she mumbled.
They hugged each other for the longest time, it seemed like to Yama. Finally, her let her go and stepped back to look at her. Yama's face was red hot with embarassment, and she wiped at tears that struggled to pour out of her eyes.
It was hard to believe that these two were friends, because of the ways they were different. Yama was 5'6", with dark brown hair and olive skin. She had bright greenish-yellow eyes and hardly ever smiled, unless it was around Corran.
She had been made in a facility called Uni-Phorm, which specializes in undergoing blood and cell transfusions that are supposed to create half-human half-animal breeds. Like a werewolf, kind of. (You know, half-man half-wolf???) The people at Uni-Phorm in Tokyo, Japan, had tried to fuse her with genes from a hawk. But something had gone terribly wrong, and the scientists had pronounced her DOA. (Dead On Awakening. One of the scientists made that up.) She was thrown into a large room with all of the other 'mistakes' as they called them, and never recieved a second look. Yama had been alive from the awakening injection, though, but was too petrified to move. She immediately decided that she wasn't going to die alone and cold in this place, and searched over all of the other 'mistakes' for an exit. After two whole days of searching, and hiding when one of the scientists walked by, she was about to give up. Yama had sank into a corner of the room, waiting to die from dehydration. But she heard a rustling in among the lifeless bodies, and jumped up to investigate. She might have been a 'mistake,' but she sure had some of that hawk in her! The rustling continued and finally a boy her age emerged from the mistakes.
Okay that's all I can type for today because KANDIE has to type up her report on a book called 'The Catcher in the Rye'. It's so boring! It doesn't even have a plot! It's just random stuff about the author. Once again, BORING! *YAWN*
